Healing And Repair (2021-now)
The works in the series Healing And Repair Pieces arose from the need to add less to the world. By first (re)using all the materials I still have lying around, including old (discarded) drawings, I can make things without the production of new materials. But the title doesn't just refer to repairing the tangible, it's also a reference to healing the human spirit. As a maker I am busy reforming material things, but I also try to break through patterns. I am engaged in the work that needs to be done to create mental, physical and spiritual well-being. It is also about creating a more vibrant and joyful life and having an open and flexible mind. (this is an ongoing series)
